Premium Relief: Waiver of premiums for 3 years on diagnosing minor illness conditions

Delve into the relief mechanism provided by the health-driven life plan, shedding light on how policyholders experience a waiver of premiums for three years upon the diagnosis of minor illness conditions, allowing them to focus on recovery without the financial burden.

Two years ago, 38-year-old single mother Ananya was diagnosed with early-stage skin cancer. The diagnosis, indeed, was devastating for her 10-year-old son and her retired parents. Thankfully, a few years earlier, Ananya had invested in SUD Smart Health Care, with ₹50 lakhs as the sum insured. The policy covered minor and major stages of illnesses related to cancer, liver, heart or kidney.

Once the diagnosis was complete, the Smart Health Care plan categorised Ananya’s illness as a minor condition. She received a lumpsum benefit of ₹12,50,000. This payout was very helpful for Ananya and her family, as it paid for Ananya’s hospital bills, along with many other everyday expenses related to the treatment and otherwise. Because Ananya had to take leave from her office, this amount of money was significant in dealing with the loss of income during the treatment.

In addition to the coverage, Smart Health Care also offered the advantage of a Waiver of Premiums. According to the plan, the policy premium for the next 3 years on the diagnosis of a minor Illness was waived. Within a few months, thanks to her surgery, chemotherapy sessions and regular follow-ups, Ananaya was able to recover. She is now doing well health-wise as well as professionally. The Smart Health Care plan proved to be a blessing for Ananya and her family. Without having to dig into her life’s savings, she was able to go through difficult times, thanks to the health-driven life plan.

About SUD Smart Health Care

SUD Smart Health Care is a health insurance plan that ensures financial stability even in times of a major health crisis. The Smart Health Care by SUD offers a sum insured amount ranging from ₹5 lakhs to ₹50 lakhs as per the choice of the policyholder. SUD Smart Health Care is a regular pay premium plan (monthly/half-yearly/quarterly/yearly) that continues until the policy term. The policy term can range from 5 to 30 years as preferred by the policyholder.

Upon diagnosis of a listed minor disease, lump-sum payout is 25% of the sum insured. Also, the premium for the next 3 years after diagnosis of minor disease is waived off to lower the financial burden on the insured.

In case of listed major disease, 100% of the sum insured is paid out.

Irrespective of the actual hospital billing, SUD Smart Health Care pays out the lump sum amount on the diagnosis stage itself so the insured can better manage their medical as well as other expenses. Liver, heart, kidney, and cancer are covered under the SUD Smart Health Care, as there are 3 different plan options to choose from. Anyone between the ages of 18 to 65 years of age can invest in this health insurance plan.
